The Azure Storage team is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive profitability and capacity management initiatives across our Azure Storage offerings, including Archive, Object Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Disks, and Azure Files. You will utilize data analysis, process mapping, and financial modeling to identify opportunities for improving our sellable capacity availability and health. You will be responsible for driving near-term capacity plan consensus and execution. You will collaborate with Software and Hardware Engineers, Program Managers, Supply Chain Planners and cross-functional stakeholders including the Azure Finance team to achieve your goals. #azureOWS

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Continuous improvement of high-fidelity tactical capacity planning.
  • Collaborating with hardware decommissioning teams to ensure timely data evacuation. 
  • Analyzing impact of the out of band capacity requests and approving exceptions.
  • Validating capacity execution scenarios and its risk assessment.
  • Analyzing and modeling the impact of cost efficiency initiatives and tradeoffs.
  • Collaborating in cross-group environments across the company and disciplines (engineering, program and product management, finance, supply chain, and our business teams).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development 
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Experience in supply chain modeling, and enterprise resource planning analytics
  • ASCM certification in CSCP, or CPIM

Additional Details:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
