We are looking for a Business Manager who can help us optimize our resources and streamline our processesto deliver exceptional business results. As the EXP Business Manager, you will report to the EXP Chief of Staff and partner closely with the leadership team, engineering/product teams, and key partners across the company, includingFinance, Recruiting, and HR in addition to other Business Managers and Chiefs of Staff.

This role will collaborate with our broader team to optimizehiring, headcount, and budget processes; streamline our rhythm of business (RoB); refine our OKR rhythm; and define our team-wide communication strategy. The ideal candidate will be a customer obsessed, results-oriented, and data-driven individual who has the horsepower to solve complex problems. They will uphold high standards for their work, operate well in scrappy and ambiguous environments, and act as an owner to do what it takes to make our team successful. Finally, they will be inquisitive and creative in finding opportunities to make our business, team, and culture better, and have the drive to dive into those opportunities.

  • Collaborate with leaders regarding resource management planning and use understanding of the organization’s strategy and deliverables to help design budgets and headcount strategy.
  • Support cross-org projects and initiatives to meet the changing business environment and manage complex business needs.
  • Work with leaders and the Chief of Staff to define and operationalize improvements to the team’s communication strategy inclusive of SharePoint design, new communication mediums, deck templates, and more.
  • Partner with finance and drive the financial management process, including planning and execution, cost management, and resource planning.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across the team, along with talent acquisition and recruiting, to set and manage people and non-people targets.
  • Streamline business processes across the business unit, optimizing quality, efficiency, and effective resource managementThis includes the development of business processes and tools to continuously improve organizational efficiency.
  • Create and manage on-going review cadence for key team metrics.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Management, Computer Science) 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Formal training or experience in project and process management, financial accounting, business strategy and/or operations. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to exercise influence without direct ownership to work closely with senior leadership on the team and across organizations and reporting boundaries to get things done.
  • Proactive, forward thinking, and able to effectively and quickly synthesize disparate information into clear recommendations, actions, and decisions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the proven ability to drive for results across a distributed set of stakeholders and projects.
  • Ability to rapidly gain and build trust and confidence of internal and external stakeholders
