We are looking for a great Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive our efforts in areas ranging from performance, mobile architecture, and customer growth on Android and iOS platforms. This position is with the Microsoft Teams’ mobile client team which tackles the toughest challenges in the mobile collaboration and productivity space with customer driven shipping timelines by collaborating with multiple partner teams on technologies across the company and beyond.

We are looking for an experienced TPM who is passionate about reliability, performance, and cutting-edge mobile technologies.   • Partner with engineering managers and product managers to help drive and track cross functional initiatives, streamline cross-team dependencies, and help team deliver on its engineering and business goals.  
  • Lead the implementation and process of key changes in the application fundamentals and architecture areas across internal and external teams, as we continue to build the next generation capabilities for the Teams Mobile Application on Android & iOS. 
  • Drive and align execution of fundamental improvements focused on product quality and performance, while ensuring development agility. 
  • Be customer obsessed. Understanding and anticipating the needs of our customers in a changing business and technology landscape is critical. Act as the technical advisor for customers and developers. 
  • Have a great understanding of mobile applications, deep understanding of the competitive landscape and usage scenarios. Product vision and ability to plan + design various features in stages to reach the end goal in an evolutionary manner is critical. 
  • Be a great program manager. You will be accountable for the design, implementation and delivery of core frameworks, leading prioritization across teams, monitoring product performance and quality, and continuously incorporating it back into product execution. You will drive direct impact on customer experiences and store ratings. Achieving these goals through efficient and data driven tradeoffs is a must. 
  • Earn the respect of the people on your team through your technical leadership. The ideal candidate should be capable of cutting across teams, supporting partner teams, and driving deliverable across v-teams. 

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical program management experience with a track record of shipping successful products.
  • Experience with mobile technologies and the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
  • Experience collaborating across large teams to address complex problems with thorough design.
