Software Engineer II - Microsoft

The OneDrive & SharePoint Experiences organization is building a brand new platform for enabling “ultimate” Progressive Web Applications that will make web applications faster, resilient to transient service issues, and enable a full offline experience with 2-way synchronization. As part of this team, you will explore novel web application architectures and push the envelope on what modern web applications can do. You’llleverage a wide range of technologies including service workers and web caching technologies, React and JavaScript, browser extensions, native code in C++, HTTP protocols and security mechanisms, SQL databases and synchronization algorithms. We are looking for smart, agile, and intellectually curious engineers who love creating and building web application platform technologies that power customer facing scenarios across Office365 and beyond. You will be working with a team of amazing engineers, PM and designers, and work closely with our partners across Microsoft to deliver “ultimate” progressive web applications to meet customer needs.

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

• This role requires the ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with React, JavaScript, Service Workers, PWAs, C++, and SQLite are all major pluses.

• Proven track record of delevering projects that include multiple components

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.Learn more about base pay ranges and pay equity: https://careers.microsoft.com/us/en/us-corporate-pay
