What it is
JobDiva is an applicant tracking system, recruiting CRM and back-office suite built for IT and contract staffing firms. It was founded in 2003 by Diya Obeid, who had previously run a New York staffing agency, and it entered the market as the first ATS to harvest resumes from job boards and synchronize with client vendor management systems (VMS). Those two ideas are still the product. The company is privately held and run by CEO Tania Obeid; it claims 40,000+ recruiters on the platform, and its leadership page lists a dedicated Chief VMS Connectivity Officer, which tells you where the engineering budget goes. We found no acquisition, shutdown or sunset news in the last 12 months.
The modules are the ATS, contact relationship management, digital onboarding, DivaFinancials (timesheets, billing, payroll hand-off), VMS Sync and DivaVMS, and reporting. JobDiva lists patents on resume management and recruitment workflow, automated web-to-database transfer, a temp-staffing margin calculator and a recruitment vendor management system.
Why it shows up in Recruiting stacks
- VMS requisitions arrive without re-keying. VMS Sync pulls job requirements posted in client portals such as SAP Fieldglass, Beeline and Workday VNDLY into JobDiva, and pushes submittals and status changes back out. For a contract desk working 30 MSP programs, that removes the recruiter who spends the morning copying reqs between tabs. This is the specific reason JobDiva appears in every Bullhorn-alternative comparison as the VMS-heavy option.
- Harvesting keeps the database current. Resume harvesting pulls candidate profiles from connected job boards into the ATS on a schedule, and the “skills by years of experience” search, which JobDiva says is patent-protected, lets a recruiter ask for five years of Java rather than any mention of Java.
- LinkedIn is wired at both ends. JobDiva has Recruiter System Connect since October 2020 and LinkedIn Apply Connect since September 2024, so applicants use Easy Apply on LinkedIn and land in JobDiva with their screening answers.
- The verification layer plugs in. Terefic (reference fraud and digital ID checks, triggered automatically at a pipeline stage), HireRight and AccuSourceHR (background screening) and TrustID (UK identity) integrate natively. The AI screening agent Sense and the sourcing tool Curately (approved partner since April 2026) sit on the same connector layer.
Pricing reality
JobDiva publishes no rate card; the site has a demo form and nothing else, checked 25 September 2026. Every number below comes from third-party trackers compiling G2, Capterra and staffing-forum quote disclosures, so confirm it in writing:
- Core ATS — about $95-120/user/month.
- Full platform (ATS, CRM, onboarding, VMS) — about $140-185/user/month.
- Enterprise — negotiated, commonly above $210/user/month on a two-year commit.
- VMS Sync connections — about $200-500/month per connection. Five client portals add $12,000-30,000 a year.
- Implementation $5,000-15,000, data migration $3,000-10,000, payroll integrations $1,000-3,000 each.
The arithmetic for a 10-recruiter IT staffing desk on the full platform with five VMS connections: $16,800-22,200 in seats, $12,000-30,000 in connections and $8,000-25,000 in one-time setup, or roughly $37,000-77,000 in year one. Bullhorn’s realistic ten-seat first year is $34,000-46,100 per the TCO trackers cited in our Bullhorn entry. The deciding line is the number of VMS portals you bill through, not the seat price.
Best for
Owners and operations leads at IT, engineering and light-industrial contract staffing firms of roughly 10-200 recruiters that bill most revenue through MSP and VMS programs and want requisition intake, submittals and timesheets in one system. Don’t buy it for a perm or retained search desk; the VMS machinery is the price premium.
Versus the alternatives
Bullhorn is the market-share incumbent with a 350+ partner marketplace. Pick it when you want the widest ecosystem and an agentic AI tier you can buy today (Max). Pick JobDiva when VMS sync and back-office are the job and you would otherwise buy them from Bullhorn partners.
Ceipal is the closest like-for-like: bidirectional VMS portal sync bundled at no extra charge, plus its own Procurewise VMS, at an estimated $24-25 per user per month entry. Pick Ceipal when budget decides and your portals are on its list; pick JobDiva when your portals are not or when you need its harvesting and search.
Loxo is the fastest-growing platform in the segment, with a 850M+ sourcing graph and an MCP server. Pick it when finding people is the bottleneck. Recruiterflow is the modern-interface pick for perm agencies.
If none fits because you are the buyer of contingent labor rather than the supplier, you need a VMS such as Beeline, not a staffing ATS.
Watch-outs
- Nothing is priced in public and modules stack. VMS connections, onboarding, payroll hooks and premium job boards are separate lines. Guard: send the vendor your list of client VMS portals and require a quote that names every module and connection with its own price, plus years two and three in writing.
- Performance and search accuracy draw the most complaints. Capterra’s review summary (4.5 stars across 1,185 reviews) lists slowdowns, glitches and inconsistent search matches as the top cons. Guard: load a real export of your candidate database into the trial and time boolean searches and bulk submittals against it.
- The interface is dated. G2 and SelectHub reviewers describe a cluttered UI with features buried under clicks. Guard: have your newest recruiter run a req-to-submittal cycle on a live VMS job during the trial and count the clicks.
- The AI is assistive, not agentic. JobDiva’s AI page lists semantic resume summaries, generated email templates, chatbots, sentiment analysis and parsing on OpenAI and Gemini models; there is no native agent and no MCP server. Guard: buy screening or sourcing agents as integrations (Sense, Curately) and score JobDiva on the open API that ships today.
- Contracts auto-renew and seats rarely shrink mid-term. Trackers report 12-month auto-renewing terms and blocked mid-term seat reductions. Guard: diary the non-renewal notice date and negotiate a seat-flex clause before signing.
