Microsoft’s Intelligence Platform engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like Power BI, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Explorer. We are looking for passionate people with experiences working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability.
• Mentor and develop engineers across all levels through fostering curiosity and exploration, knowledge-sharing, and leveraging the skills of others• Drive long-term architecture and detailed design for a highly scalable distributed service.• Drive long-term design thinking for systems and engineering processes with simplicity and maintainability as core tenants. • Deliver value through a strong collaborative approach spanning diverse and remote teams.• Drive impact by identifying and delivering both internally and externally. • Be a role model for an open, honest, and inclusive approach to problem solving.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience with C#, Java, or C++ with solid engineering practices.
- 2+ years of experience building and managing world class engineering teams
- Deep analytical skills and an ability to architect and develop scalable solutions
- Hands-on experience in shipping high quality large scale cloud services or distributed system
Preferred Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fiel
- Experience with Azure/AWS or other cloud computing platforms is a plus.
- Software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Strong technical foundation and general knowledge of related Microsoft technologies including AAD, Azure, and competitor enterprise search offerings.
