As a Senior Product Manager in Data Protection & Governance org, you will work with partners to deliver engineering solutions for compliance and privacy resiliency and engineering agility through automated identification, detection, protection, and remediation.

  • Anticipates internal and external customers’ unmet or unknown needs and identifies opportunities for enhancements or development of new products/services across divisional boundaries. Leverages quantitative (e.g., usage, telemetry) and qualitative analyses (e.g., customer usage, various listening systems, feedback channels). Looks for patterns in the data across a portfolio and scopes the impact and prioritization of a problem. 
  • Works across multiple feature areas across divisional boundaries. Defines or influences the long-term vision and strategy for the feature areas based on a deep understanding of customer needs, the competitive landscape, and Microsoft’s business goals and strategy. Writes product framing memos or strategy documents and reviews with senior leaders. Distills the vision and strategy into a product roadmap. Creates user stories and epics to convey the big picture. Leverages a deep understanding of the product architecture to design integrated scenarios. Communicates product strategy to internal and external customers and builds consensus through multiple methods.
  • Define roadmap and collaborate with others on its implementation; define support processes and SLAs; implement feedback loops that ensure iterative improvement over time. To do so, you will lever your technical knowledge and people skills across multiple disciplines such as software engineers and product managers, to synthesize complex technical issues into a shared vision and defined course of action

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
  • Experience incubating and fostering innovative ideas
  • Strong technical design capability in cloud systems
  • Ability to work across team boundaries to get things done
  • Self-motivated, proactive, collaborative, inclusive, and results oriented
  • Growth mindset with a willingness to learn, and a desire to help develop others around you
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Ai/ML lifecycle
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies is a huge plus
